Frequently
Asked Questions

Before The Competition:

Go to our Tour Dates page and click on your competition city. The street address of the venue as well as a link to directions to the venue can be found there

The Competition Schedule will be emailed to the Studio Owner approximately 10 days prior to the competition and ONLY if the entry fees have been PAID in FULL. We cannot release schedule information to parents so please contact your Studio Owner/Director for this information.

Yes, all competitions are open to the public and there is no fee to attend.

Please ask your Studio Owner/Director to find out when he or she wants you to arrive at the Competition. Because we do tend to run early, we ask that all dancers be ready to compete at least 1 hour prior to their scheduled time. Anyone in the audience hoping to watch a particular dancer or dance should be there one hour ahead of time as well.

Please address this issue with your Studio Owner/Director. Elite Dance Challenge will only accept changes from the Studio Owner/Director.

At  The Competition:

For the safety of your children and the protection of choreography, absolutely NO videotaping or photography is allowed during the Competition. We will have a professional photographer and videographer at all of our events and photographs will be available for purchase. We have made this policy for your child’s protection. There is no way for us to know that you are only taking photos and videos of your child or studio. You may take photos and videos during our award ceremonies.

Should the event run ahead of its scheduled time, performers should still plan to be ready to perform early.

Yes, EDC awards overall high scores in all our levels. However, scholarships and cash awards are only given to winners in the intermediate and competitive levels. All cash prizes are awarded to the Studio.

All scoring information goes to the Studio Owner/Director.

After The Competition:

You can purchase a trophy or place an order for a plaque at the competition at our Merchandise Table. If it is after the competition and you would still like to order, please email us: info@elitedancechallenge.net.

At our Regional Competitions, dancers are invited to participate on the Elite Performance Team. If your child chooses to accept the invitation, they will learn a routine that will be performed prior to award ceremonies and during the Dance Off at National Finals. Dancers who choose to participate will receive an Elite Team tank top (to be worn during the performance), personalized EDC sweatshirt, and trophy. Dancers will also be eligible for scholarships and cash prizes. If a dancer chooses to participate, the Elite Team application must be turned into their Competition Team Director with the $200 fee. The EDC office must receive all Elite Team application forms and fees by the deadline on the application form. A dancer does not have to compete at or have their studio attend Nationals to participate on the Elite Performance Team.
